Immune System

Building a robust immune system involves a combination of beneficial probiotic strains and a supportive diet. Certain probiotic strains have been identified for their immune-boosting properties.  For example, L. rhamnosus GG (LGG) is known to enhance innate immunity and modulate pathogen-induced inflammation via receptor-regulated signaling pathways.  Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis BB-12 strain has been shown to promote immune defense mechanisms.

These probiotics can interact and stimulate intestinal immune cells and commensal microflora to modulate specific immune functions and maintain immune homeostasis by enhancing the mucosal barrier found in the intestines.  These strains build immunity by regulating the production of intestinal mucins which disrupts the adherence of pathogens to the gut lining.

A balanced diet rich in specific nutrients supports both the immune system and beneficial gut microbes.  Dietary fibers can alter microbial metabolic output in support of healthy immune function.  Incorporating fermented and cultured foods introduces beneficial bacteria that can enhance gut microbiota diversity and function, thereby supporting immune health.  Foods high in antioxidants, such as fruits and vegetables can reduce inflammation and support immune function.

I will help you synergistically enhance immune function by incorporating specific probiotic strains and maintaining a diet rich in fibers, fermented foods, and antioxidants . This combination supports beneficial gut microbiota, which plays a pivotal role in defending against pathogens and maintaining overall health.
